The substantial gainful activity amount for 2003 is $800/month. For blind individuals, substantial gainful activity is $1330 per month.

If your earnings are over $800/month and you are on SSI, you will qualify for 1619(a) Medicaid.
The trial work period monthly amount for 2003 is $570 per month. For a self-employed individual, if the individualís earnings are not over $800/month, SSA will consider that the individual was performing substantial gainful activity if the individual worked more than 80 hours in a month.

The monthly earned income exclusion for students who receive SSI for 2003 is $1,340, and the annual exclusion is $5,410.

All of the above amounts will be adjusted each year in January.
